EUNICE EVELYN DYCK

(nee MACK)

May 20, 1951 - February 17, 2025

Peacefully with family at her side, Eunice passed away at the age of 73 at Health Sciences Centre.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Stacy (Scott); Keri (Ryan); granddaughters, Keana and Nya; and grandson Damon. Also left to cherish her memory, are her brother Lloyd (Stella); sister-in-law Gerri; brother-in-law Glen (Carman); as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Ray; father Austin; mother Avis; parents-in-law, Alvin and Sarah; sister-in-law Donna; and brother-in-law Elmer.

Eunice was born, raised and educated in Neepawa, MB. She attended nursing school in Winkler, MB, where she met Ray Dyck of Morden. They married in 1975, raising their family in Gillam and Gunton, MB. Eunice worked as a nurse in various facilities in southern Manitoba, Gillam and later as a home care nurse in Teulon, MB, finally retiring in 2013. Following her husband‘s passing, she moved to Oak Bluff, MB, to be closer to her grandchildren. Eunice loved spending time with her family at her cottage in Steep Rock, MB. A true lover of nature and animals of all kinds, she spent much of her time photographing the beauty of plants and animals around her, and capturing pictures of special times with her family. She enjoyed keeping in touch with friends and acquaintances afar, sharing photographs and supportive messages online and spreading her contagious, positive spirit. Eunice spent one last weekend with her family at the cottage and enjoyed doing the things she loved until her final moments.

Thank you to dear family, and friends for their unfailing support and friendship.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 12, 2025 at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall, MB.

Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • Sending my deepest condolences to Stacy, Scott and Nya, Keri Ryan, Keana and Damon. I will miss my cheerful morning text messages that were waiting for me when I’d get up much later than Eunice. We had many conversations over the years. We met so many years ago when she first started dating her husband to be, my brother Ray and I was honoured to be her maid of honour. I know she was in her favourite place with the people she loved most that weekend. You are missed. - Posted by: Gerri Janzen (Sister in law) on: Mar 30, 2025

  • Eunice or Ernie, as Ray always called her, was such a special friend! We met way back when Ray and I met shortly after starting at Hydro. She was always there for us. Such a wonderful person! We will really miss her. Our most sincere condolences to her family. - Posted by: Ken and Noreen (Friend) on: Mar 01, 2025

  • We were so sad to hear of Eunice's passing but we are happy that she no longer suffers. We have very fond memories of camping trips & outings & just sitting around & visiting. It was so easy to love Eunice as she had such a calm, gentle spirit & she loved deeply. Dixie & her girls & their chosen mates & her 3 beautiful grands were the loves of her life & she couldn't have been more proud of each of them. We pray for God's peace for each of you as you walk this journey. - Posted by: Ed & Evelyn Elias (Friend) on: Mar 01, 2025
