While Randy and I knew the Kinaschuk brothers from high school, Jamie became part of our family when he provided respite for my brother Dan in the late 90s, early 00s. My brother adored him. We had so many great times together with fabulous conversations, beach times and party times. A great kind man, who has left too soon. With love and amazing memories ….. So, well, umm, We are truly at a loss for words! To ALL FAMILY AND FRIENDS, Our sincerest heartfelt sympathy!! I do not know how to say otherwise, we are at a complete loss for words!! Jamie, you were our "roonai, doonai", team member. The north west field, at Sinclair Park, after the teams played their games. Danny and I were with you playing "our" game. We could show them all a thing or 2! Remember the 3 lighthouses? Gerry remembers you had lunch with him in the concourse! It is obvious, Our Father, Our Dear Lord, has plans for you, May he take you, and keep you, to continue, serving Our Lord through your service as social worker, and a true, loyal friend Our Father, Our Lord, has plans for you. Rest in peace, dear friend, family member. Immeasurable love, now, always and forever!!! We do not know how to say "love you, thank you" God has taken you ! 🙏👫💖💝💕 - Posted by: Doreen (Tarabalka) Danny Tarabalka (Doreen, married last name now Ricard last name Ricard. My condolences to family and friends upon the passing of Jamie. We were teammates with the Winnipeg Hawkeyes Junior football team from 1978-81. This is a very sad time but a reading of Jamie's tribute on Cropo is a must for all who knew him. - Posted by: Wayne Smith (Friend) on: Mar 04, 2025

Dear Dan and Ray, I met Jamie in the early 1990's when he volunteered at the Age & Opportunity Elder Abuse Resource Centre. I think he had just completed his B.A. degree and discussed with me what else he could do with regard to a career. I had encouraged him to consider going into social work and as they say.. the rest is history. After my husband died, Jamie made a point of staying in touch with me by phone or through the occasional visits over coffee at a local Tim Horton's. We would talk about anything and everything - politics, family, the war in Ukraine, work life and retirement. Jamie was a very sociable, outgoing person who made friends easily. I considered Jamie to be a good friend and I will miss him greatly. Please accept my heartfelt condolences on the loss of your brother. May he rest in peace. Sorry to read of Jamie's passing. Jamie counseled me as a teen way back in the 1980s. I've never forgotten him, he was a nice, funny man, who cared about people. - Posted by: G . R (Mentee) on: Mar 01, 2025
