Margaret “Marg” Jean Froese beloved wife of Bob Froese (deceased) and cherished mother of Alana and Alison passed away peacefully on March 16, 2025 at the Valleyview Care Home in Brandon, MB, with her daughters at her side. She was in her 79th year.
A loving and devoted mother, Marg always put her family and friends first. Marg’s greatest pleasure came from looking after others. She was known for her kindness, strength, warmth and unwavering support of her family and friends. Diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in her 30’s she never let her health issues stop her from being a great mother and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Marg was born in Virden, MB on November 12, 1946 to parents Ethel and George Pringle. She was raised on the family farm at Hillview. She had many stories and fond memories of her childhood with siblings and many cousins and friends.
Marg married the love of her life Bob Froese on July 11, 1964. Together they raised their daughters Alana and Alison and honorary son Michael. She was the proud grandmother of Jess, Kate and Taylor, Bishop and Major. Also, Gigi Marg (great-grandmother) to Rowan, Keaton and Wrenley.
Marg worked various jobs during her working years. Her proudest and most special memories were working at the Reston Hospital, being a farm wife and bookkeeper for the family business. Marg was a full time “Mom and wife” even when she was working.
Marg is lovingly remembered by her children Alana Froese, Alison (Nyles) Rice and Michael (Keith) Berry; her grandchildren Jess (Scott) Firby, Kate VanLoo, Taylor (Evan) Thompson, Bishop Rice and Major Rice; Marg’s littles (great-grandchildren) Rowan Firby and Keaton and Wrenley Thompson.
Marg is also survived by her siblings Heather (Glen-deceased) Walker and Jim (Jane) Pringle, as well as sisters and brothers in-law Arnold (Gail-deceased) Froese, Wilma (Dale-deceased) Rollins, Maxine (Ed-deceased) Shamray and Bill (Bonnie) Froese. Auntie Marg is also survived by and very special to many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service for Marg will be held in Reston, MB in July 2025. The exact date is not yet set.
