DIANE PETRACHEK
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Diane Petrachek on March 19, 2025. Diane was a beloved wife, mother, Baba, sister, Aunt and friend.
Leaving to mourn her, son Anthony (Jenn), daughter Alisa (Sean), and all her amazing grandchildren; brothers, Alex (Joan), Jerry (Dianne); sisters, Sharon and Colleen; in-laws, David (Anne), Ray (Debbie), and Rick (Marianne).
Diane was predeceased by her loving husband Edward; parents, Alex and Winnifred Fotty; in-laws, Steve and Pauline Petrachek; and brothers-in-law, Pierre and Ross.
Diane’s door was always open to anyone who wanted to stop by the house in Stony Mountain. If Diane was not in the kitchen cooking or baking, you could find her in the yard cutting grass, trimming trees or in Ed’s vegetable garden. Her caring, loving touch showed through on everything she did.
We would like to thank the palliative care team from CancerCare, mom’s special nurse, Angela and all the staff on 3E at Riverview for taking such great care of Mom.
Memorial service to be held at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel in Stonewall on Friday, April 11 at 11:00 a.m. Private burial will occur in the summer.
Donations can be made to CancerCare Manitoba, the Winnipeg Humane Society or Harvest Manitoba.
Mom, you are now free to dance the night away in heaven with Dad. The stars will shine even brighter in the sky as you and Dad are together again.
