Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I was saddened to hear of both June and Gerald's passing recently. My family & I lived behind them in the 1980's and the Reimers were indeed wonderful people to have as neighbours. They were so kind, helpful & caring - truly an exemplary Christian family. I extend my heartfelt condolences to Darcy and Sherry for their loss. - Posted by: David Cassidy (Former neighbour) on: Apr 27, 2025

  • I grew up next door to Mr. And Mrs. Reimer and I would always see Gerald and June when I went home to visit. They were truly the best people to have as neighbours—the embodiment of goodness. I have many fond memories of the Reimers—from being my first (and only) clients when I tried to start a lawn raking business as a child, to playing in our sandbox with a toddler Kristen—they made you feel more like family than neighbours. I remember one time when I was very young (before cell phones) my mom had an emergency, and Mrs. Reimer was there for me. It was so scary and yet Mrs. Reimer invited me in and made me feel so safe. The Reimers always lead with Kindness which I know was anchored in their deep religious values. I cannot explain enough how blessed I was to grow up with them next door. I last saw June when I was in Winnipeg in the fall. She was tending to her yard and we had a long hour plus chat. It was so wonderful. Now looking back, knowing that was the last time I saw her, I’m so grateful we made the time to have that long chat. I miss her. I will never have neighbours as wonderful as the Reimers. My condolences to Mr. and Mrs. Reimer’s children and grandchildren. May there be comfort in knowing she is reunited with Mr. Reimer in the Kingdom of Heaven for eternity. God Bless. - Posted by: Julia (Neighbour) on: Apr 04, 2025

  • I am so sad for my beloved Sister June’s family & friends. There will always be a big void for me since she passed on to heaven last week. I have many great memories; especially on the farm when we were children, like trudging to school a mile in deep snow on the dike and in summer, hightailing it across the neighbours property (running from the Bull).. She was always so loving and protective of Lee and me. A kinder gentler sister can never be found. She was always (Home) to me, no matter where I lived. Love Forever, Sharon. - Posted by: Sharon Beaudin (Sister) on: Apr 02, 2025
