It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear Barbara Francois (nee Little) who left us peacefully on Sunday, April 6, 2025 at the age of 75.
Barbara spent her formative years in the town of McCreary, where her love for family and community blossomed. She was a devoted mother, loving spouse, cherished grandmother, and a beloved sister.
She is predeceased by her father Jack; her mother Irene; and her sisters, Lynn and Carol. She is survived by her husband Ron, who stood by her side through life’s many adventures. Together they raised 3 wonderful children: Krista (Chris), Nadine, and Matthew, who carry forward her spirit and values. Barbara also lives on through her treasured grandchildren, Logan, Mason, and Griffin, who brought her immense joy and pride. She leaves behind her siblings, Lance, Pam, and Richard as well as many nieces and nephews who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.
After moving to Winnipeg to attend United College, Barbara met Ron and together they built a warm and nurturing home filled with love and laughter. Barbara’s career in advertising and retail management showcased her creativity and keen attention to detail. Her strength in planning and her ability to connect with others, made her a respected figure in her field.
Barbara will be remembered for her warmth and kindness. Her legacy of love and compassion will continue to inspire all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 12:00 - 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Assiniboine Park Pavilion in Winnipeg. Friends and family are invited to come together to share memories and celebrate the beautiful life Barbara lived.
In lieu of flowers, Barbara kindly requested that donations be made to Doctors Without Borders or Siloam Mission.
