Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANDREW (ANDY) JOHANNES BENSON BOURCIER
It is with deep love and heartbreak that we announce the passing of Andy Bourcier, who left us peacefully surrounded by loved ones.
Andy was born in the Netherlands and grew up in Winnipeg. He and Lyndie raised their daughter Chloe near Andy’s large and supportive family. Andy and Lyndie shared a lifelong bond full of laughter and love.
He spent much of his career as a waiter in fine dining, lastly at the Fort Garry Hotel. He was known for his exceptional work ethic, and deep joy in feeding others. Even at 79, he insisted on cooking for his family. The bond he shared with Chloe was unshakable—spending countless weekends exploring Manitoba together, hunting for old buildings, visiting small-town diners, and making beautiful memories.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of many decades, Lyndie; children, Chloe (Kash), Lisa, Lori, Bobby (Rosemarie), and Kim (Rick); grandchildren, David, Min, Jasmine, James, Matthew, and Jordan; siblings, Laverne, Yvonne (Mike), Theresa (Brian), and Luke (Donna); sisters-in-law, Judy and Patti; and many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and friends. He is predeceased by his siblings, Emil and Terry; and brother-in-law Rick.
He leaves behind a legacy of laughter, kindness, incredible meals, amazing hugs, and deep love. He will be missed beyond measure but remembered in every joke, road trip, love letter, and lovingly made plate of food.
In lieu of flowers, please wear your funniest shirt in his honour and share a story over a good meal—just as he would've wanted!
A photo biography video honouring Andy's life will be accessible through the tributes link below.

He was a great worker and did his job with grace. I thought of him often after he left the Hotel. We developed a good friendship and I thought of him as a friend. My deepest condolences to all his family. - Posted by: Irene Desaulniers (Co-worker) on: Apr 20, 2025
