It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marie Driedger (nee Derksen) at the age of 86. She passed away peacefully at Bethania Personal Care Home.
She leaves to mourn children Valerie (Gerry), Keith (Antonine), Birdena and Karl (Brenda); grandchildren Danielle (Robert), David (Jessica), Karine (Kyle), Kristina (Brandon), Justin (Terese), Jordan (Ally) and Jonathan; and four great-granddaughters, Kaydance, Melodee, Ariana and Cloé.
Marie leaves to mourn her brothers and sisters, Suszann, Rose (Bill), Dorean, Albert (Virginia), Dave (Elaine), Alice (Ed), Bennoe (Dorothy), Verna and DeAnna as well as other in-laws, nieces and nephews who were dear to her, as well as many friends.
Marie was predeceased by her husband of 62 years Anton (Tony) in 2020, her parents Pete and Dora, in-laws Helena and Abram, and most recently her brother-in-law Norm, and nephew Trevor.
A service will be held on Thursday, April 24 at 2:00 p.m. at Braeside Evangelical Church, 1011 Munroe Avenue, Winnipeg, Pastor Dan Cormie officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethania Personal Care Home for the flower gardens and fishpond where Marie liked to sit.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bethania for all the care Marie received, and to the family and friends who visited, over the past 2.5 years. It is very much appreciated.
