UAN (BUZZ) LAMOND
I am a happy man and have been blessed. I had a wonderful family that made me proud and many cherished friends that made for happy times and great memories.
I had a dedicated partner and best friend, Gail, for 57 years.
Two accomplished and wonderful children, Jason and Janna (Darren); three beautiful grandchildren, Hanah (Marcel), Jarret (Hannah) and my youngest pal Connor; and two canine friends, Ruger and Moose. I appreciated all the caring, love and support from them during my life and on my final journey.
Although I had no siblings, I consider my brother-in-law Vince and sister-in-law Kathy as my brother and sister. We enjoyed our card games and Chinese food.
I treasured my time with family and friends and family time spent at the lake.
As per my wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no service. A private family gathering will take place. I ask all who I have known to take a moment to reflect on the joy and laughter we have shared.

My condolences Gail. My late wife was in the same class as Buzz at Cecil Rhodes school. As she recalled, he got his nickname after a "close haircut" Art Marche, Calgary - Posted by: art marche (friend) on: May 08, 2025

We have very fond memories of our time with Buzz and Gail as neighbours and friends. Buzz lit up the pro shop with his greetings for our customers. He always had a smile and a story. He loved his family and was very proud of his children and grandchildren. We are sending our deepest condolences and love to Gail, Jason, Janna, and your families. Hoping your many memories will help at this very difficult time. Guido and Sue - Posted by: Guido and Sue Cerasani (Friend) on: May 04, 2025

Sparky and Gail, I got to know Buzz through Jason as he would attend our mixed softball games. He was so much fun and later became a friend. My condolences to the family. Boomer - Posted by: Darren Anderson (Friend) on: May 03, 2025

Dear Gail & Family: My profound sympathy and condolences on the loss of your beloved "Buzz". Admittedly, I am shocked to see that he has passed. He was such a caring, gentle, thoughtful person with an awesome sense of humor. I was always in awe of his unfailing devotion to his father in time of medical (and personal) assistance. His pride, love, and unquestionable admiration for you, Gail, and his children and grand children shone through in every conversation I ever had with Buzz, and there were many. Although he has left to reap the eternal rewards he so richly deserves he will never be forgotten by those of us who were lucky enough to have known him, even if it was for only a short while. May the good Lord be with you and your family in this time of sorrow. - Posted by: Patricia Murdock (CPC coworker & friend) on: May 03, 2025

I remember Buzz from my junior high days at Cecil Rhodes school in Weston. Jan was always an outstanding athlete and his best friend in those days I remember Brian Swan. I last remember Buzz seeing him as the pro shop manager at Shooters Golf course on north Main Street. Buzz was a good and well liked guy. - Posted by: Trevor Hayden (Friend) on: May 03, 2025
