JARED BRUCE FRIESEN

1958 – 2025

Jared passed away on Sunday, May 18, 2025, at Grace Hospital.

Most of his life was spent on a farm west of Winnipeg. His farming uniform' became a cap, plaid shirt, jeans, and work boots. Once he could drive, Jared also did various jobs away from the farm including working at Manitoba Motor League (CAA), Coldstream, Mallin Electric, clearing hydro pole and tower right of ways throughout Manitoba in the summer, and insulating buildings in the winter. Luckily, he still got to wear a cap, plaid shirt, jeans, and work boots for all these jobs!

Jared enjoyed having visits, and a lot of them took place at the palace yard. Time would pass by quickly when he was telling one of his 'short' stories, especially around a bonfire.

Jared will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his partner Joanne, as well as his friends. He was especially honoured to be Uncle Jared to Jed and Holly.

As per Jared's wishes, there will be no service.

Rest in peace Jared.

  • The obituary is quite appropriate as we first met Jared around the bonfire, and then again for many bonfires after that! He was always a friendly guy! We are thinking about you Joanne, at this sad time. - Posted by: Diana & Andy Larkin (Friend) on: May 24, 2025
