MILTON HARVEY DROSDOSKI

January 3, 1952 – May 25, 2025

Milton Harvey Drosdoski, aka Tank, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, with his beloved family by his side at the age of 73 years.

Milt was born on January 3, 1952, the youngest son of Harry & Anne Drosdoski in Rossburn, MB. He grew up in Rossburn and attended school, graduating in 1969.

He played hockey with the Rossburn Hornets and baseball with the local team. He earned the nickname Tank because when he got the puck, he came down the ice like a Sherman Tank and no one could take the puck away from him. Milt was scouted by the NHL to go to the training camp for the Toronto Maple Leafs, however his mom thought education was more important, so he did not go.

Following graduation in 1969 Milt worked in Winnipeg for Storm Tight Industries for one year and in 1970 applied to Brandon Court Services and became a clerk of the court. From there, in 1971 Milt applied and became a Sheriff’s Officer reaching the rank of III which he held until being promoted to Sheriff II, retiring after 38 years of service in 2009. Milt maintained a respected working relationship with all law enforcement/court services and probation services during his years with the sheriff’s office.

Milt was a kind, caring man and had compassion for other people. If someone was in need of a helping hand, he was there for them.

Milt loved to fish and hunt – he was known as “The Walleye Slayer” – anything to be outdoors. There were many stories to be shared that brought laughter to the point of tears. The memories made will live on with all who shared in his life.

The laughter will live on in our hearts, above all the great respect and love for a wonderful man that will be greatly missed forever.

Milt married Valerie Mushumanski on August 30, 1975. To this union were born son Chris & daughter Connie. Milt was a wonderful father and doted on his children and later his grandchildren.

Milt is survived by his loving wife Valerie; son Chris (Janelle); daughter Connie (Randy); granddaughters Nadija, Jayden; grandson Kurtis; brother Wayne (Susan); and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews.

Milt was predeceased by his parents, aunts, uncles and numerous family members.

As per Milt’s wishes, no service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Milt may be made to the Diabetes Association, #401 – 1 Wesley Avenue, Winnipeg, MB R3C 4C6 or the Brandon Humane Society, 2200 17th Street East, Brandon MB, R7A 7M6.
