Paul Naherniak was born on November 16, 1936, to Peter and Mary Naherniak, in Trentham, Manitoba. Paul met Mary Pawliuk in Gardenton, Manitoba and they were married on June 1, 1963. They had one son, Michael, born in 1988. (Michael married Rochelle in 2017, and Paul and Mary became grandparents on April 24, 2025.)
Paul worked in Winnipeg for years, both as a delivery and cement truck driver, as well as a welder. In his later years, he lived and worked full-time on the farm he and his wife owned, raising sheep. Paul and Mary were known for leading a pioneer lifestyle; they lived in this way until 2023 when health needs no longer allowed for this.
Paul was predeceased by his father, his mother, his brother, and two brothers-in-law.
The funeral service for Paul will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, June 6 at Birchwood Funeral Chapel, Steinbach, MB, with interment at Holy Eucharist Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery in Rosa, Manitoba.
