SHAWN MARKO
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shawn Marko who left us on June, 1st at the age of 56.
After courageously battling for 18 months, he ultimately succumbed to his injuries at Health Sciences Centre.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughter Dallas, grandchildren Christina and Taylor, sister Melissa (Jason) and father Earne.
Shawn was predeceased by his mother Helen in 2005. Shawn loved fishing and doing crossword puzzles. He also loved to hang out with his friends. Shawn loved sports. He was a true fan of the Winnipeg Jets and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.
When Shawn was five years old he joined the Cub Scouts. He planted a spruce tree in front of our house. The tree is still standing today at 35 feet high and is 52 years old.
A service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Voyage Funeral Home, 220 Hespeler Avenue at Henderson Hwy.
We would like to thank all the nurses and doctors at Health Science Centre for taking care of him.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Addiction Foundation of Manitoba.
