HENRY SLEZAK


Henry Stanley Slezak passed away suddenly at the Brandon Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, surrounded by family.

Henry was born on June 17, 1945, in Neepawa, MB to his parents, Walter and Anne Slezak.

He farmed in the Brookdale area for 30 years and also drove school bus for 32 years with Beautiful Plains School Division. Henry thoroughly enjoyed all the children who rode on his bus, it was always one of the highlights on school days. For over 50 years, Henry worked at his creative welding business on projects and inventions for himself and many others. But most of all, Henry loved being a grandpa to his two granddaughters.

Henry is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shirley, his daughter, Marianne Slezak (Lee Houle) and granddaughters, Hope Cearns and Kaylee Houle. He is also survived by his brother, John (Ruth) along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Henry was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Anne Slezak, sister, Lillian Balak, brothers Murray and Ron.

As per Henry’s wishes, a private family graveside service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Henry, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Boulevard, Winnipeg MB R3P 2Y5.

Henry Slezak passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Brandon Regional Health Center surrounded by his family.

Henry will be lovingly remembered by his wife Shirley; daughter Marianne Slezak (Lee Houle) and granddaughters Hope Cearns and Kaylee Houle.

A private graveside service will take place at Rosewood Memorial Gardens at a later date.
