It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden, devastating passing of Kristian Paul Régnier, age 47. His passing occurred while riding his motorcycle, during a tragic accident in which he bore no fault.
Kristian leaves behind many people who adored him: his beloved wife January; devoted parents, Jean-Pierre and Carole; loyal sisters, Joelle (Jason), Mélanie, and Natalie (Charles); mother-in-law Melodie; brother-in-law Travis; nephews, Tyler and Makéo; and nieces, Rielle, Mya and Danique. He also leaves behind numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and countless friends. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Douglas.
Kri, as he was known, was born in Winnipeg and grew up in Charleswood. Kri purchased his first bike in 2000 at age 22. He spent countless hours riding his Harley Davidson alongside his dad, uncle Louis, his good friend Kevin, and others. In 2009, he became an instructor for Manitoba’s Motorcycle Training Program, sharing his passion for riding by teaching others. A careful and conscientious rider, Kri was dedicated to keeping motorcyclists safe on the road, and became Chief Instructor in 2015.
Kri met Jan in 2009, and it was clear from the start how much excitement and happiness Jan brought into his life. They were married in 2016 and created many lasting memories that will be cherished forever. Kri showed his deep love for family through quiet acts of devotion, always present, supportive, and ready to help in any way he could.
Kristian’s generosity, dedication, and unforgettable charm will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

I only found out today, from Patty. I can't believe it. I grew up in Charleswood with Kri and his family. I saw him around town once and awhile, as we got older, he always would be friendly and smiling and we would have a laugh. The last time I saw Kri was at a concert I believe. It always felt like he was having a good time, enjoying life!! To the Regnier family..my deep condolences. - Posted by: Christopher Dohie (Friend) on: Jul 20, 2025

To the entire Regnier family-our deepest condolences on the passing of your much loved Kri. Whenever we would meet in passing his radiant smile greeted us. We were fortunate to know the Regnier family through community life. Some of our children were friends and shared so many Jr. High and High School memories. The horrific news of his passing was heartbreaking. We hold each of you in our hearts and prayers and may you find peace in knowing he was loved by so many and respected by all. He was a light in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Our family mourns with you-Rocky and Margaret Richardson and family - Posted by: Margaret Richardson (Friend) on: Jul 18, 2025
