Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN BARTON JENNER
With sadness, our family announces the passing of Bart on June 26, 2025, nine days before turning 92.
He was predeceased by his parents Agnes and Alf, brothers Billy and Peter, son Randy, great-granddaughter Tarynn and nephew Rob. Bart will be lovingly remembered by his wife Margaret of almost 70 years; his children Roberta (Brian), Ken (Elise), Bruce (Carol), Wayne (Cathy) and Randy's Widow Michelle; ten grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two sisters Elsie and Mary; and many nieces and nephews.
Bart loved the many summers camping at Nutimik Lake and Blue Lake, ON with the family. Не taught many kids to water ski wherever he went, eventually ending up at Granite Lake, ON for 42 years.
After retiring from Weston Bakeries, he and Margaret spent winters in Pharr, TX golfing and enjoying park life. Bart was an avid curler and was an honorary life member of the St. Vital Curling Club. Bart golfed at the Transcona Golf Course until age 90. Also, he enjoyed five cruises.
Bart often commented how much he enjoyed his years at Dawson Trail Apartments, especially the morning coffee group and the community garden. Bart enjoyed going down for the monthly birthday parties and always asked for a corner piece of cake with lots of icing.
Many thanks to St. Boniface Hospital and Vista Park Lodge for the great care that he received during his illness.
A Celebration of Life will be held on July 26, 2025, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. at Dawson Trail Apartments, 5 Leveque Street, entry on Patterson Street of Lagimodiere Blvd.

My deepest condolences to Bart Jenner's family on his passing. I met Bart at the St. Vital Curling Club when curling in the evening men's league. Bart was a very friendly person, always with a smile on his face and some sort of dig when we curled against each other. Once Bart knew you, he was always your friend to talk with and exchange greetings. Our team always had competitive games with Bart and his Greg Milloy team. RIP my curling friend . You made curling at the St. V more fun with your quick wit and comments.👍👍 Ronald (Ron) Smith. - Posted by: Ronald (Ron) Smith (St. Vital Curling Club friend) on: Aug 03, 2025

First met at St Vital CC many years ago and remained friends until his passing. Always loved his stories and good natured kidding around. Mind you much of his joking when talking was pointed at me and some of his really good friends. He loved Margie and all the family. My sons, Paul and Mark and I will be eternally grateful for Marg and Bart Jenner. They were our Granite Lake godparents and lifelong friends. Bart taught the boys how to water ski and the importance of giving back and community. Our condolences go out to Marg and the family. You all made a positive impact on the Beatty’s. R.I.P. Bart was a good friend of my dad (Barry) and I paid for university working for him as a delivery driver with Weston's (doin the "beach run" in the summer). I'll always remember his growling voice and welcoming handshake. Condolences to his family. - Posted by: Don Hewitt (Friend) on: Jul 12, 2025
