It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years Reinhold (Roy) Buss, her mother Martha, sister Katherine, brothers Monty (Phyllis) and Stan and granddaughter Christine.
She is survived by her children Joan, Norma, Cindy (David), Dale (Sherri), grandchildren Amber (Kevin), Brittany (Sean), David (Olivia), Christopher (Jade), great-grandchildren Tyler, Ciara, Dean, Chase, Silas, Quinn, (mom Tasha), Dori, Hazel, SJ, Dante, Brock; sister Doreen (Edgar), sister-in-law Sandra, Theresa, brother in law Gordon, George (Gert) and many numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty was born in Moose Jaw, SK and later resided in Loon Straits. Betty moved to St. George and settled in Golden Bay, MB where she met the love of her life Reinhold. They raised their four children on the family farm from 1964 to 1997 when they retired. In 2015 they moved to Beausejour
In her early years you would find mom volunteering at Zion Lutheran Church with the Women’s group, teaching Sunday School, assisting dad with the Agricultural Society or running around picking up farm parts. Mom and dad could easily be found playing bingo in various small towns, or volunteering with bingo, and bowling or accompanying her children on school outings. Mom thoroughly enjoyed having the grandchildren visit.
Mom could often be found traveling the countryside with Norma over the past several years, with special stops at Jennifers in Seven Sisters, and Skinners in Lockport and South Beach Casino.
We would like to thank the Homecare ladies who attended to mom, and we would also like to thank the Beausejour Paramedics for their quick response.
Memorial Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 18 at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E. Beausejour, MB.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to Zion Lutheran Church.
