It is with sadness that we announce the death of Susan Marjorie Maxwell, age 78, on July 14, 2025. Predeceased by her loving husband, Dr. Ian Maxwell, she is survived by her children Ian (Salim), Sheri (Bernie), Cathy (Sandy), Robert, and Andrew; grandchildren Matthew (Kayla), Nicholas (Genevieve), Collin (Mackenzie), Evan, Ethan, Isla, Ava, Alex, Jaiden, Brianna and great-grandson Nathaniel.
Susan also leaves behind her sister Barbara Johnson, who lovingly cared for her throughout a long illness, along with Barbara’s children.
A nurse by profession, Susan dedicated her life to her family, offering them unconditional love, strength, and support. She will be deeply missed. The family extends heartfelt thanks to CancerCare Manitoba, Dr. Susan Green and Dr. Stephen Gowing for their compassionate care. We especially want to thank Dr. Kim Wiebe and the MAID team for providing end of life care.

I just came across this obituary that saddened me greatly. It was years ago when I worked with Susan & Ian at the Wpg. clinic. It is impossible to find two people who were as kind, knowledgeable & generous! I still say this after all these years of working with nurses & doctors! I kept in touch for a few years but I had moved to a different province & life gets in the way. The world has lost 2 of their best!
