Eleanor, wife of the late Dr. Ken, passed away on July 11, 2025, at St. Boniface Hospital after a brief illness.
She grew up in Elmwood and used her artistic talents to become a cake decorator for Eaton’s and later Gunn’s Bakery. She married Ken, and together they designed and built their dream home in North Kildonan, where their lives flourished.
Eleanor is survived by her brother Ron; sister-in-law Ruby M., and her family, whom Eleanor adored, as well as a treasured group of friends. She was predeceased by her husband Ken, her parents, in-laws, relatives, and friends.
She has rejoined Ken, and they are walking side by side once again. She requested no services, flowers, or cards, but hoped donations would be made to St. Boniface Hospital Foundation, Room C1026, 409 Tache Ave, R2H 0A6 (Stem Cell Cancer Research).
