Genevieve Elsie Brown (nee Caux) was born May 12, 1932, and passed away peacefully on August 22, 2025, at Bayside Personal Care Home in Killarney, Manitoba.

Genevieve taught in many schools across Manitoba including Pipestone, Sandy Lake, Transcona and Pine Dock. She found her forever teaching spot in Pine Dock where she spent half of her career. The little fishing village on the edge of Lake Winnipeg was where she and her husband began a taxi business and convenience store. Her love of the North and people kept the couple stationed there until moving in 2003 to Killarney, Manitoba for family reasons. She cared deeply for her students, her family and her faith.

  • So sorry for your loss. Pipestone had a reunion a few weeks ago and was wondering if you folks would be there. Your mother was a wonderful neighbour and very nice person.
