It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Cathryn Ann Cherewyk (née Chubala), aged 84, on August 18, 2025, at the Boyne Lodge Personal Care Home in Carman, Manitoba.
Born July 21, 1941, in Winnipeg to the late Anna and Woytko Chubala, Cathy was predeceased by her siblings, Mary and Stan. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Merv; her sons, Chris (Kathie) and Greg (Katharine); and her grandchildren, Griffin and Juno.
A funeral service and celebration of Cathy’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at Saint Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church, 202 Harcourt St.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Boyne Lodge Personal Care Home in Carman, Manitoba.

We will miss her kindness, generosity and gentle manner but most of all her giggle. She was one of the sweetest people I've known. She loved her family and treasured her grandchildren. But "oh Merv" was her love and rock throughout their many years together, especially as her caregiver the last few years.
