On Saturday evening, August 30, 2025, with family present, Lilly was peacefully welcomed into God’s arms.
Lilly was predeceased by her husband Harry in 2009 and her infant son Curtis in 1956, who both were there to welcome her to her heavenly home. Lilly was also predeceased by her parents, Karl and Maria Schnellert (Welk) and her siblings, Adella (Zirk), Roy, Henry, Adina (Pachal) and Edward.
Lilly is survived by her children: Les (Diane), Wayne (Norma), Kevin (Darlene), Roxane (Randy) Novakowski, Lisa (Tony) Hrynyk, Mona (Rodney) Strecker along with special nieces, Barbie Pachal and Rhonda (Tim) Cameron. Lilly was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and four great-great-granddaughters. She is also survived by her remaining sister-in-law Ruth Topnik.
Mom met Dad at a dance and they were married on May 17, 1952. They raised their family in Stead where they ran a mixed farm and electrical contracting business. In 2000 when Harry retired, they moved into Beausejour, MB.
The family would like to thank the staff at Eastgate Lodge for the exceptional care that Mom received during her time there.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Thalberg with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery.
