On Monday, September 8, 2025, with family by her side, Sylvia lost her courageous battle with blood cancer and crossed the rainbow bridge to be with her mom, dad, and pets that she loved and cared for over the years.
“Casino Auntie” is mourned and sadly missed by her family and friends. In keeping with Sylvia’s wishes cremation has taken place. A private family memorial service to follow.
If desired, donations in Sylvia’s memory can be made to any animal welfare organization.

I’m so sorry for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Sylvia for nearly a decade, and she was kind to me from day one. She was a true character... warm, nurturing, a little quirky, and quietly very sharp. Sylvia took such good care of her patients, and you could sense the joy she got from it. She was generous with her knowledge and stories, and I’ll always appreciate the many times she reminded me that there’s always someone willing to listen and help.
