Denise was predeceased by her loving husband Danny, her brother Denis Colette, her sister Cecile Vandale and her parents, Rudy and Irene Colette. Denise is survived by her daughter Susan (Chris) her granddaughters, Kirsten (Darcy), Kelsey (Chris) and great-granddaughter Abigail.
Denise worked at St. Boniface Hospital as a nurse’s aide in her early years, then moved to work in medical records. She then moved into various positions in the hospital before retiring in the early 1980s.
Denise was a member of the ladies of auxiliary at the Nairn Legion number nine. She delivered the Herald paper with some help from her granddaughter Kelsey. She also did some demo work at Safeway stores.
Her pride and joy were her granddaughters and especially her great-granddaughter. She was also a great cat mom to Zelda.
Denise will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.
Cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Donations can be made to either the Winnipeg Humane Society or the Kidney Foundation of Manitoba.
