First: let me give my condolences to the Family of a Talented, selfless hard working individual, who I am sure you are very proud of. I had the privilege to work with Tony while in the position of Bugle Major of the Rifles band. He was a quiet devoted individual who gave his all. Contributed his time and talents 100%. On weekends preparing the music for future commitments as well as his commitment to his personal participation, on the musical side of the Band. Tony will be missed but not forgotten. Thank You Tony! Remember soldiers don't die we just Fade away. Joe Ridout - Posted by: Joe Ridout (Bugle Major Royal Winnipeg Rifles) on: Oct 31, 2025

I never played in a band that didn't have Tony in it. I shall miss him enormously. He was so much more than a bandmate. He gave each band a personality and energy not to mention positivity. His courage and spirit these last years will surely strengthen all of us. Mike Forbes - Posted by: Mike Forbes (friend, bandmate) on: Oct 26, 2025

I was deeply saddened to read of Tony's passing. Although it's been years since I've worked at Pollard Banknote, it was like a close knit family back then and Tony was quite memorable for his great smile, calm, quiet and friendly personality. My sincere Condolences to his family. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. - Posted by: Diane Pollard (Co-worker) on: Oct 25, 2025

I met Tony first through The German Society, when I worked there was a bartender/waitress, and then later again in my health care job. He was always a very polite man to talk to. My condolences to his family and friends. - Posted by: Vanessa (Through work) on: Oct 17, 2025

I met Tony while working at Princess Auto many years ago. He was a very generous person with a great sense of humor. We would occasionally get together with a small group of friends for dinners/drinks, and it was always a great time. He would spoil us with his homemade wine at Christmas, which was always appreciated. Even though I had not seen him for a few years, he was always in my thoughts. I'll never forget when he ordered a "Dark Rum & Coke" one day @ Olive Garden and I thought he said "Dr Demento." We had a good laugh, and I never let him forget it. Sincerest Condolences to his wife, Kary and the rest of his family and friends. Heaven has gained an angel. Rest in Peace Tony. You will be missed. - Posted by: Estelle Paquette (Friend) on: Oct 17, 2025

Tony was my closest friend in Winnipeg sharing both British and Military back grounds. As a retiring Bandmaster of the Royal Green Jackets I met Tony who had connections with the Winnipeg Rifles, Westwood and North-winds community Bands in 2000. Tony was involved also with the German Band and was later very busy playing trumpet for all the groups. He had the ability to organize any challenge before him- I could never say no when Tony asked you to do something. He was respected by all. Tony had a vision for the future and saw all of his projects succeed . After moving to Calgary I kept in touch with Tony, who kept me up to date with all the latest stories from Winnipeg. Tony will be missed by all that met him. Thank you for being part of my life. Michael Scholfield. - Posted by: Michael SCHOLFIELD (Close friend) on: Oct 15, 2025
