On October 11, Bob passed away peacefully with family by his side at the age of 82.
Born on March 2, 1943, to parents Margaret and Allan Brown of Newdale, Manitoba, Bob lived a full and hardworking life rooted in family, routine, and community.
Bob was predeceased by his wife, Lylia Brown (née Cameron), in 2023. He is survived by his sons Allan (Lisa) and Scotty (Cheryl), and his grandsons Matthew, Nathan, and Steven.
Bob enjoyed a long career with Trimac Transportation, working in both Winnipeg and Brandon. A longtime resident of St. Vital, Bob spent many years in curling rinks and hockey arenas, supporting family and friends (and offering plenty of sideline coaching). He enjoyed countless summer weekends at Oak Lake with close friends and family over the years. His friends from Newdale nicknamed him “Crow,” after his early entrepreneurial streak “hunting” them for pocket change as a young boy a name, and a story, that followed him proudly through life. He will be greatly missed by family and friends.
A private family gathering will be held in the near future.
