CURTIS PAUL BUTLER

December 19, 1973 – October 16, 2025

In Loving Memory

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Curtis Butler, who departed this life on October 16, 2025, at the age of 51, surrounded by his loving family.

Curtis was dedicated to his career as an elevator mechanic as a proud member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors Local 102. Curtis took great pride in his craft and the brotherhood that came with it.

He had a deep love for the outdoors and treasured time spent at the lake—especially at Pelican Pouch, one of his favorite places. Whether it was shooting sporting clays, relaxing on the water pontooning with his mom, Curtis found peace and joy outside. Though he hated technology, he never failed to stay connected to what really mattered: the people he loved.

Curtis was a beloved son, brother, and friend. He shared a special bond with his mother, Connie Butler, and was always in the kitchen with her as her sous chef. He had a strong, loving relationship with his brother Clint Butler (Jaimie), and he cherished his late father, Larry Butler, who passed away just last year. Curtis cherished his close friends Fabian, Shawn, Sherbo and so many more.

One of the deepest connections in Curtis's life was with his beloved dog, Bugsy, who had also passed. Their bond was unshakable, and Bugsy's memory remained close to Curtis's heart every day.

Curtis will be remembered for his boisterous laugh, his unwavering loyalty to his friends and family, and the quiet strength he carried through life. He lived authentically and fully—grounded in love, laughter, and the simple joys that mattered most.

He may be gone from our sight, but never from our hearts.

As per Curtis's wishes there will be a small private Celebration of Life with his close friends and family.
