After a brief illness, we sadly share that our loving wife, mother, grandma and great-grandma, Christine Cooke, passed away with family by her side on October 26, 2025, at Grace Hospital.
Chris leaves to mourn her husband of 63 years, Ron and her children, Doug (Carleen), Kerri (Billy), Roddi (Joanne) and Travis (Kara); as well as grandchildren, Taylor (Stuart), Geordie, Nathan, Brendan, Noah, Darrah, Madden, Cali, Hadley and Ellis; along with one great-grandchild Maela.
Chris was born at Hnausa, Manitoba on July 7, 1940, and moved to Winnipeg when she was in junior high. She met Ron in Winnipeg and married in 1962. The family started growing a year later and soon we were a family of six. She loved nothing more that spending time with family and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Magnusville Heritage Site c/o 3 Whitkirk Pl., Winnipeg, MB, R3R 2A2 or to a charity of your choice.

My sincerest condolences to Ron & entire family. It’s been over 50 years since I’ve known the Cooke family well delivering the newspaper to their household. - Posted by: Bruce Gibson (Friend) on: Nov 02, 2025

Auntie Chrissy was a very very special lady. My whole life is a memory of just how nice and caring she was. I do not believe I ever saw her angry and she always had cake and cookies and snacks whenever we visited. As families grow we tend to not see each other as often but even when monthly visits turned to annual and then multi-year, Auntie Chrissy was a constant smile and someone you wanted to be around. She will be missed but never forgotten. - Posted by: Rob Walker (Unofficial nephew) on: Nov 01, 2025
