Out of the clear blue sky, Dawson John Calum Ives, aged 56, passed away surrounded by the love of family and friends on December 30, 2025, at the St Boniface Hospital. Life will be quieter and a lot less funny without him.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends, and all those lucky enough to share a laugh with him.
A celebration of Dawson’s life will be held this coming spring. Details will be posted on the tribute link below.

I attended St.John’s High School with Dawson I played football with him , he was always a good funny kid , I think about a lot of the people I went to high school what happened to them & I was just thinking about him & the other guys we used to hang out with… Very sad… My sympathies go out to everyone that knew him & in our chapters of life 🙏 - Posted by: Lawrence (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2026

I will miss chatting with Dawson as he tickers with his car or his motorcycle. He did promise me a ride on his bike , sadly I took too long to say yes.
