It is with profound sadness that our family announces the passing of our beloved wife, mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Connie Krawchuk (nee Bosak) on Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Selkirk Hospital.
Connie was predeceased by her parents, Mike and Jessie Bosak; sisters, Judy Olynick and Shirley Maslanka; and sister-in-law Bev Brady.
Connie is survived by her devoted husband Paul, heading into their 67th year. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Bob (Janet), Blaine (Lynn), Brenda (Victor) and Trevor (Arlea). She leaves her grandchildren, Kelly-Miranda (Boots), Danny (Shannon), Nancy, Courtney, Devin (Emily), Bethani (Dylan) and Logan; great-grandchildren, Georgia (Devon), Jocelyn (Xam), Bryn, Rowan, Samantha and Nolan. As well, she leaves siblings, Bea (Don) and Ron (Marielle); sisters-in-law, Edna Kozyra and Evelyn Wallenborn; nieces, nephews, cousins and many special friends.
Connie was born in Beausejour. She met the love of her life Paul while at school. The couple married in 1960 and they raised their four children.
Connie had a youthful, classy personal style. She was well known for her purple hair, her big smile and kindhearted nature. Connie worked for most of her life as a hairdresser and homemaker. Connie had many hobbies, passions and was very involved with community. She was a 4H Leader, lectured Weight Watchers, was part of the Historical Society, and taught painting classes. Her personal passions included square dancing, painting, sewing and ceramics. She loved her garden and was very particular about her yard floral arrangements.
She was a dedicated friend to many, always putting others first. She enjoyed outings with her friends.
Connie was a travel enthusiast. She experienced New Orleans, Phoenix, Iowa, Cuba and Mexico. She travelled with her daughter to Australia to meet her Pen Pal of 61 years and had adventures in Hawaii and New Zealand; enjoying the local sites such as the Sydney Opera House, Maui Pearl Place and a Luau on the side of a mountain in Honolulu at sunset.
Above all else, family was at the heart of everything she did. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her endless pride and happiness. She treasured every visit, every conversation, every celebration and every precious moment spent together. Today, while our hearts are heavy with loss, we are grateful for the incredible life she lived and the love she gave so freely. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, creativity, strength, and devotion to family and community.
We will think of her whenever flowers bloom in the summer sun, whenever hummingbirds appear nearby, whenever music invites us to dance, or whenever we gather together as family. Her love remains woven into all of our lives.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved and always remembered.
The family extends a heartfelt thanks to Connie’s longtime cardiologist Dr. Rabson, as well as to numerous friends and extended family for all their care and concern at this time.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Beausejour Hospital TV Fund or Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m., at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue E., Beausejour with viewing one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church Cemetery.
