THELMA LEOLA HOGUE

(nee RUSSELL)

September 29, 1948 - July 11, 2026

Thelma passed away on July 11, 2026, at the Riverview Health Centre in Winnipeg, MB.

Thelma as born on September 29, 1948, in Winnipeg, MB. She was raised in Deerhorn, MB, where she went to school, then later attended high school in Eriksdale, MB. Thelma began her working career in Winnipeg at the Bethania Mennonite Personal Care Home. This is where she met and married her first husband Gary Fuchs. After a few years and career changes, Gary and Thelma bought a home in Winnipeg and began their career at Temro. Later they settled in Landmark, MB where Thelma enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning. After Gary's passing, Thelma moved back to Winnipeg. A few years later, Thelma met and married Doug. They soon welcomed twins - Thelma's pride and joy. Ashley and Brendan were born July 1, 1990, blessing Thelma with the gift of finally becoming a mother. Thelma continued to advance in her career at Temro until she finally retired. Doug and Thelma then decided to retire and move back to Eriksdale.

Thelma is survived by her children, Ashley (Jason) and Brendan; stepson Jason (Amanda); stepdaughter Annette; grandchildren, Jade, Brook, Chance, Brianna and Marcus; siblings, Stan (Aline), Barb (Greg), Gary (Nadine) and countless nieces and nephews.

Thelma was predeceased by her parents, husbands, sister and many friends and relatives.

Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held a later date.
