GERALD FRASER MAY 3, 1942 - AUGUST 18, 2000 Gerry passed away suddenly at the Selkirk District Hospital the morning of Friday, August 18, 2000 surrounded by his family. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 35 years, Deanna; son Brian (Kirston) and their children, Lisa, Jade, Nicholas and Logyn; his daughter Donna Carpenter (Fred) and their children, Jason and Shaun. He will also be fondly remembered by his sister Lorraine Gauthier (Lionel) brothers, Denys (Leonie), Rolly (Gilda), Norman (Shirley) his mother-in-law Doris Gauthier and Deannas grandmother Lillian More as well as his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Gilbert and Cecille Fraser and his father-in-law Alfred Gauthier. Gerry was employed with the Manitoba Highways Department for 33 years and was looking forward to retirement. He spent his last day at the place he loved best, Netley Resorts, where he had enjoyed the past 19 seasons. Gerry had a great love of life, spending many hours hunting, travelling and also just sitting around the camp fire. His "Big Heart" and easy going nature will be missed by all whose lives he touched. The family would like to thank Uncle Rolly for being there when Mom need you most. Thank you as well to the people at Netley Resort, the Interlake Paramedics and Emergency Staff who responded so promptly. In accordance with Gerrys wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane, on Monday, August 21, 2000 at 6:30 p.m. with Deacon Gerard Desrosier officiating. A gathering for family and friends will follow in the Heritage Room at Green Acres. Green Acres 222-3241
