PAUL MASYK Peacefully, on Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at the age of 80 years. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years Jean (Chanowski) children, Linda (Ted), Sylvia (Dennis), Dennis and Vicky; grandchildren, Jackie, Kristy, Nicholas, Harley and Jeremy. He is survived by one sister Pauline Baskiera of Windsor, ON; one brother Nick (Bee) of Hamilton, ON and numerous family members. He was predeceased by parents, Samuel and Anne; brothers, Mike, Joe, John, Alex and Bill. Paul (Dad) was born in Inwood, MB on August 30, 1921. Paul married Jean in 1954 and resided in Winnipeg since 1966. Paul worked at Westroc since 1957 until his retirement in 1986. His greatest passion, other than his family, was being an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. His hobbies included gardening, playing cribbage and involvement with numerous committees with Eagles. His mischievous smile and trademark handlebar moustache will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, April 1 at 10:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. No. 1 East at Green Acres Lane, with viewing beginning at 9:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in his honour to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
