ROBERT MacDONALD MURPHY Suddenly, on November 14, 2003 Robert Murphy passed away at the age of 72 years. Robert was born on February 17, 1931 in Halifax, NS. He was predeceased by his mother Edna; father Adam; and his brother John. Left to cherish Bobs beautiful memory are his loving wife Dianne; his sister Peggy; and his six children by a previous marriage, Darlene (Allan), Allan (Sandra), Tom (Gayle) all of Vernon, BC. Debbie (Alvin), Marilyn (Ed), Robert Jr. (Marnie) all of Vancouver, BC. Four stepchildren, Michael (Lynda), Kenny (Laurie), Coral (Gavin), Robbie (Krista) as well as 29 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren, and all of his nieces and nephews in Nova Scotia, Newfoundland, and Ontario. Robert will also be missed by his mother-in-law Terry; sister-in-law Sandy; and brothers-in-law, Don, Terry and Curtis. Robert served in the Royal Canadian Air Force from October 1948 until January of 1969 in the Air Force Services Fire Department. During that time he was awarded the Canadian Forces Good Conduct Medal and retired as a Warrant Officer. Robert also worked as a car salesman until his retirement in 1988, he was a member of AA for the last 12 years of the life and really knew how to help people. Robert was also known for his great sense of humour. Robert loved to play cards and will be sadly missed by his rummy partner Peter Sprague. In accordance with Roberts wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service celebrating Roberts life will be held on Tuesday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Edward J. Coutu Funeral Chapel, located at 680 Archibald St., with a reception to follow. There will also be a family service in Vancouver, BC on November 29, 2003. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made in Roberts memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association. The Coutu Family in Care of Arrangements: EDWARD J.
