Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryBARRY THORNDYCRAFT Barry was born in Winnipeg, MB and passed away on Thursday, September 22, 2005 after a short illness. He is survived by his loving wife Jean and step-daughter Starr (Cal), brother Murray (Marilyn), nieces Traci (Scott), Lisa (Bob) and Tom (Nadine), sister-in-law Anne and her daughters Pat, who took such great care of Barry at the farm he loved so dearly, Lynn and son Gary. In his youth Barry was an excellent hockey player who played with the Cincinnati Mohawks and Montreal Royals. He attended the University of North Dakota where he received his degree and became an NCAA championship hockey coach and then went on to coach hockey in Davos Switzerland. After a triumphant career in hockey Barry moved to Victoria and worked for Texaco and then went on to become a successful realtor. Barry will always be remembered for his wry sense of humour and his sports ability in both hockey and golf. A celebration of Barry's life will be held on Wednesday, September 28 at 2953 Charlotte Drive, Colwood from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send a donation to the charity of your choice.
