Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJANINA SZEWCZYK January 28, 1925 - December 9, 2005 Suddenly on December 9, 2005, Janina passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital at the age of 80 years. Janina is survived by daughters, Julia and Dianne (Larry) Holgate; grandchildren, Tamara and Corey. She was predeceased by her husband Jozef. Janina worked at the Health Sciences Centre for many years. She was a member of the Holy Ghost and St. John Cantius' churches, also part of their ladies auxiliary groups. She was a long-time member of Sokol Hall and volunteered with many organizations. Janina was social butterfly, always there to lend a helping hand. Thanks to all her friends for their companionship, also thanks to the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital and Luther Home for their care and compassion. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., with Mass of Christian Burial being celebrated at 10:30 a.m. with an Oblate Father as celebrant. Interment to follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Janina's memory to the Luther Home or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba.
