PERE LOUIS JOLICOEUR, o.m.i. Pere Louis Jolicoeur est decede subitement le lundi 2 janvier 2006 a Cochabamba, Bolivie a l'age de 67 ans. Il laisse dans le deuil ses freres et soeurs, Irma (Marcel) Coudenys, Roland (Yvette), Jeannette (Henri-Paul) Blanchette, Noel (Lucie), Benoit (Therese), Lorraine (Noel) Frechette ainsi qu'une belle-soeur Jeannette Jolicoeur. Il fut precede par ses parents Adelard et Adrienne, deux soeurs, quatre freres. Ne a St-Boniface, MB en 1938, Louis et sa famille demenagerent a LaBroquerie lorsqu'il avait 1 an. Il entra chez les oblats en 1957 a St-Norbert et fit son scolasticat a Rome et ensuite au Chili. En 1965, il oeuvra a La Paz, Bolivie jusqu'a son ordination (dans sa paroisse canadienne) a LaBroquerie en 1966. De retour en Bolivie, le Pere Jolicoeur oeuvra les dernieres 40 annees dans divers domaines. Pastorale paroissiale, formateur au pre-noviciat Bolivien, professeur a l'universite, econome ensuite Provincial de la province oblate de Bolivie. En 1999, il est nomme President (Doyen) de l'Institution de Theologie jusqu'en 2004 et en 2005 il redevient econome ainsi qu'assistant a la formation au scolasticat oblat a Cochabamba. Une messe commemorative sera celebree le samedi 7 janvier 2006 a 10h00 a la Cathedrale de Saint-Boniface. L'Inhumation eut lieu a Cochabamba. Les amis qui le desirent peuvent exprimer leurs sympathies en offrant un don aux Oblats de Marie Immaculee, au 206-474, rue Aulneau, Winnipeg, MB, R2H 2V2. FATHER LOUIS JOLICOEUR, O.M.I. Father Louis Jolicoeur passed away suddenly on Monday, January 2, 2006 in Cochabamba, Bolivia at the age of 67. He leaves to mourn his brothers and sisters, Irma (Marcel) Coudenys, Roland (Yvette), Jeannette (Henri-Paul) Blanchette, Noel (Lucie), Benoit (Therese), Lorraine (Noel) Frechette as well as a sister-in-law Jeannette Jolicoeur. He was predeceased by his parents, Adelard and Adrienne, two sisters and four brothers. Born in St-Boniface, MB in 1938, Louis and his family moved to LaBroquerie when he was a year old. He entered the Oblate novitiate in St-Norbert in 1957, then was sent to the scholasticates in Rome and Chili. In 1965 he worked in La Paz, Bolivia until his ordination in 1966 (in his Canadian parish) at LaBroquerie. Returning to Bolivia, Father Jolicoeur's ministry for the next 40 years included parish ministry, formation at the Bolivian pre-novitiate, University professor, treasurer then Provincial of the Oblate Bolivian Province. In 1999 he was named President of the Institute of Theology until 2004. In 2005 he again became treasurer as well as assistant at the Oblate scholasticate in Cochabamba. A commemorative mass will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 10:00 a.m. at the Saint-Boniface Cathedral. Interment was held in Cochabamba. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Oblates of Mary Immaculate, 206-474 Aulneau St., Winnipeg, MB R2H 2V2. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
