PAUL ROBERT THOMPSON, P-Eng Suddenly, on February 17, 2006, our devoted father and friend, Paul R. Thompson passed over at the Victoria General Hospital at the age of 61years. Paul was predeceased by his parents (Frank Sommerhays Thompson and Anne Hobbs) and his sister Francis Loppneau. Lovingly survived by his brother Frank, son Rodney, daughter Heather, stepson John (Barbara) and lifelong partner and friend Julie. He is also remembered by his extended family, Brian, Jennifer and Jason. Paul dedicated his career to Manitoba Hydro and was involved in negotiating many important energy contracts for the province. His knowledge, wisdom and sense of humour had a profound impact on all he met. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 24 at 2:00 p.m. in Thomson In the Park Funeral Home, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to CancerCare Manitoba or Central Speech Hearing Clinic at Victoria General Hospital.
