STEFAN FANUEL THORDARSON 1923 - 2006 Stefan (Uncle Steve), 82 years, passed away peacefully at Maples Personal Care Home with his family by his side on February 25, 2006. Born October 23, 1923 at Hecla, MB, resided in Winnipeg until his passing. Predeceased by parents Eggert Olafur and Sigfuridur. He was the last surviving sibling of 15. Husband, father, Avie and grandfather, loved and sadly missed by wife of 59 years Emily Myrtle; five children, Reginald (Joyce), Cyril (Shirley), Eggert (Lillian), Sarah Adine (Norman) Lischynski, Melvin (Donna), ex-daughter-in-law Marie, sister-in-law Caroline (Tina); 17 granchildren, 47 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren and numerous friends and relatives. On behalf of the family we would like to extend a thank you to all the staff that looked after Stefan at the Maples Personal Care Home. God Bless. A prayer service will be held Wednesday, March 1, 7:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held on March 2, 2:00 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment and reception to follow. Pallbearers and honorary pallbearers are all 8 grandsons. Donations in Stefan's memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
