JEAN TANACHOW (nee JANCZYN) Peacefully on Monday, February 6, 2006, aged 88 years at Cobourg Extendicare, Cobourg, ON. Jean was born March 10, 1917 in Ledwin, MB. Daughter of the late Wincenty and Parania Janczyn. She was predeceased by her husband Dan in 1984, her sister Mary in 1985 and her sister Helen Sobolta in 1991. She will be sadly missed by her two daughters, Vincie Spicoluk of Ajax, ON, Melanie Powley (David McQuillan) of Cobourg and five grandchildren, Angela (Jordan Dempster) of Edmonton, Christie, Mark, Jordan and Taylor. Jean was an active volunteer for many years with the Canadian Paraplegic Association in support of her sister Mary's polio condition and made many life long friends. For the past number of years, she belonged to Stafford Seniors, Main St. Seniors and the Convalescent Home Day Program. Interment will take place at Elmwood Cemetery at a later date.
