LEO JAMES THOM Suddenly on April 28, 2006 at Tadoule Lake, Leo, aged 31, passed away. Leo is survived by his parents, Sarah and Isaac Thom; brother Richard and sister Melissa, of Tadoule Lake. Also by his Auntie Mary (Allan Code) of Whitehorse and their children, and numerous other aunties, uncles and their children. Leo is also survived by his foster parents, Bill and Elizabeth Stevenson and their children, Bill, Patricia, Marjorie and Michael and their families. He graduated from Gordon Bell High School and later became a Health Care Aid. He returned to Tadoule Lake in 2001 and was elected Band Councillor for a three year term. He represented his community at conferences across Canada. At the time of his death, he was a Unit Supervisor with Awasis Agency. Funeral service at Tadoule Lake on Friday, May 5. Memorial service in Winnipeg on Monday, May 8 at 7:00 p.m. at The Church of the Good Shepherd, 673 Silverstone Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6.
