MARLENE (DE LORENZO) TARTSCH Hello everyone. I was born January 25, 1960, in a beautiful area of this country called Sydney, Cape Breton. People who knew me knew how proud I was of that fact and would tell anyone who listened that I was from Cape Breton. I had a battle with cancer and that is why I am moving up to live with the Lord. I am survived by the best husband in the world, who gave up his world to care for me. Peter was my rock, my strength and most of all the love of my life. Although we were only together a short time we were meant to be. I also have this amazing daughter Terri Lynn and her new husband Joseph Driscoll in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Terri has been my joy and pride since the day she was born and Joseph was hand selected from heaven to be with her for her life on earth. I love you both very much and I will always be around you. Surviving in my family are two sisters: Anna Marie Sanscartier (Danny, Matthew), Winnipeg, and Terressa Moore (Blaise, Christopher, Breanna), Calgary, and my wonderful in-laws Kurt and Margaret Tartsch, Kelowna, and Wally and Marg Kachanoski (Kevin, Julie), Souris. I am also survived by the best stepdad in the world Leo Baggio of Sydney, NS and many cousins, aunts and uncles of whom there are too many to mention. I would like to mention my cousin Benita who was more like a sister to me. We were the same age and always did everything together. We never lost our bond when we had families of our own and she was a sister I loved very much. I was pre-deceased by my mother, Maria Baggio and my father Rudy DeLorenzo. Marlene worked with many people, a lot of whom became very near and dear friends. She worked at Bethania Personal Care Home where she was very involved with her union, the Canadian Union of Public Employees. She always worked hard in the best interests of her co-workers who loved and respected her. Marlene was amazing at everything she did. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother and a loyal friend. Wherever she went she was the light of the room. She will always be remembered for her caring ways, her passionate approach to everything she believed in and most importantly, for the lifetime of wonderful memories she has left her family and friends with. We love you Marlene! A memorial service will be held at Saint Martin' in the Fields, 160 Smithfield Ave. at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 9, 2006. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Palliative Care and Hospice Manitoba. Arrangements entrusted to: VOYAGE FUNERAL HOME CREMATORIUM 220 Hespeler @ Henderson Hwy 668-3151
