TENA (CAROLINE) THORDARSON 1919 - 2006 Mom passed away September 16, 2006, peacefully at the Peguis Personal Care Home with her family by her side. Mom was born December 8, 1919 in Peguis, Manitoba. She was predeceased by her husband the love of her life Fedor in 1956; parents William J. and Sarah Stevenson; brother Victor Stevenson and sister Wilma Chambers. Mom leaves to mourn her children Margaret (Lloyd) McDonald of Selkirk, Tom (Wilma) Thordarson of Langley, B.C., Clarence (Sarah) Thordarson of Norway House, Thorlene Thordarson of Dryden, ON., 23 grandchildren, 38 great grandchildren, 8 great, great grandchildren; her sister Myrtle Thordarson and numerous relatives and friends. As per mom's wishes cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held. The family invites relatives and friends to join in a come and go tea in celebration of mom's life at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 21 at the Selkirk Friendship Center, 435 Eveline St. A memorial tea will also be held at the Peguis Personal Care Home at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, September 22. On behalf of the family we would like to extend a thank you to all the staff at the Peguis Personal Care Home that looked after her with such loving care. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations can be made to the Peguis Personal Care home, Peguis, MB. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
