Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryARIEL JEAN TAYLOR (nee Anderson) Passed away peacefully at the Red River Valley Lodge in Morris, Manitoba on January 2, 2007 at the age of 90 years. Ariel is survived by her sons, Brian (Shirley) of St. Albert, AB, George (Val) of Sundre, AB, and Clark of Beiseker, AB. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Kim, Daryl, Mark, Kirk, Dale and Kevin, as well as their children. Ariel was predeceased by her loving husband Laurence, her son Robert and daughter Frances. Ariel was born and raised in Winnipeg but quickly realized her heart was in the country. At an early age she was able to find employment on the Taylor farm close to Morris. During that time she fell in love with and married Laurence and they raised their five children on the family farm. The farm also provided a wonderful template for Ariel's blossoming artistic talents. Ariel always saw a picture in everything around her and her flare for colour was evident in her home and gardens. The farm also provided Ariel with the opportunity to enjoy her love for cocker spaniels. In 1969, they sold the farm and moved to Portage la Prairie where they enjoyed 25 years. They found another favourite pastime playing golf and made many more friendships by participating in a variety of clubs. Ariel also enjoyed teaching painting and ceramics classes in her home. They became snowbirds by travelling down to Panama City Beach, Florida where they could both continue their golf and Ariel would get more ideas for her paintings. After Laurence's passing, Ariel moved back to Morris where she rekindled old friendships and made new ones. Ariel was always adamant about maintaining her independence and lived in her suite until June 2006. She was a resident of the Red River Valley Lodge at the time of her passing. Cremation has taken place and the funeral service will be conducted at the Morris United Church on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. by Pastor Jack Bannatyne Dickson with interment to follow at the Morris Cemetery. The family wishes to extend their sincerest thanks to the staff at the Morris General Hospital and the Red River Valley Lodge for the care and compassion they extended to Ariel during her stay. Funeral arrangements are being managed by Morris Funeral Home (204)746-2451. Rest in peace Mom/Gramma. We'll miss you dearly. You'll always be in our hearts
