WILLIAM (BILLY) TARKO Peacefully, on Sunday, January 7, 2007, William (Billy) Tarko passed away surrounded by his wife Luisa Tarko; his brother-in-law Jose Maria and his wife Manuela (Lela); close friend Sister Cathy and many loving friends. He also leaves behind his loving sister Rosely, her husband Mel and their children, Marnie, Melissa and Kevin. He will be missed by his sister-in-law Isabel, her husband Mario, nephew Rui, niece Lisa and her fiance Mauro and nieces, Elisabete (Betinha) and Zezinha and their families. He leaves behind as well, his goddaughters, Nancy Fazenda, Lisa Salgueiro and Teresa Fernandes and their families. His friends and family will miss him dearly. Thank you to all the family and friends who visited Billy at the hospital during his illness and made his days a little brighter. A warm thank you goes out to the doctors, nurses and staff from the second floor Selkirk Hospital, especially Dr. Fuchs and Dr. Anozie. Billy was a kind and gentle person. He was hardworking, honourable and loved his wife Luisa with all his heart. Their marriage of 10 years was a beautiful one; their love very strong. You are now in the hands of Our Father in Heaven, Billy. We will miss you very much. Adeus, meu Amor. Prayers will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10 (tonight), 2007 at the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Parish at Winnipeg Beach. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Our Lady of the Lake Roman Catholic Parish at Winnipeg Beach and will be presided over by Father Ernest Kamath. Interment to follow in the Assumption Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations in Billy's memory can be made to CancerCare Manitoba. Gilbart Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
