Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN MARIE TATARYN After a lengthy illness on Friday, March 16, 2007 at the age of 71, Lil is now at rest in God's arms. She was predeceased by her parents, James and Teenie Gulay, and brother Andy. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Edward, her sister Shirley (Peter) Lukashenko, sister-in-law Joan, as well as numerous relatives and friends. Lil was born August 20, 1935 in Carberry, MB and spent her earlier years in the Carman area. She started her career with Canada Safeway in Carman later moving to Winnipeg where she worked as a cashier then as a training instructor at the head office on Pacific. When Lil met Ed she moved to Selkirk where she spent her remaining years enjoying the farm life. She looked forward to spring when she could tend her garden and spend time with her animals. She had a passion for cooking and loved to share her recipes. The family wishes to extend their thanks to the staff of HSC and Selkirk General Hospital, the paramedics and Lil's homecare workers, especially Audrey for all their care and support over the years. Prayers will be presided by Father Dado Parrenas at Gilbart Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 20 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, March 21 at 10:30 a.m. in the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Selkirk with interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lil's memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
