Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryVICTORIA SZELIGA On April 5, 2007, at St. Boniface Hospital, Victoria Szeliga passed away at the age of 90 years. She leaves to mourn her passing one sister Carol, and four generations of nieces and nephews and their families. She was predeceased by her parents and her brother Andrew, and sisters, Nellie, Mary, Steffie, Clara, Katy, and Toni. Aunt Vic was born and grew up at Whitemouth Lake, MB. She moved to Winnipeg to find work, working in a sewing factory until her retirement at age 65. She led a very active life. She enjoyed playing cards, especially bridge, and sewing and knitting for family members. She loved the children and was always a popular babysitter in her younger years. She was very active in her church, St. Mary's Cathedral, and had many friends there. She will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by so many of us. Special thanks go out to the wonderful staff at St. Boniface 8A palliative care, where she spent the last several weeks of her life. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 12 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Cathedral, 353 St. Mary Ave. Interment will follow in Assumption Cemetery.
