LILY LOVISA RAGNHEIGUR THORDARSON (nee JOHNSON) Lily passed away peacefully on April 12, 2007 at Betel Home in Gimli. She was born in Langruth (Hollywood School district) Manitoba on October 19, 1922. Survived by her son Leonard Thordarson (Leah) of Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Lorissa, Lenetta, Leif; great-grandchildren, Lars, Janessa and Justice; sisters, Florence Einarson (Gimli) and Bertha Jonasson (Arnes); and her extended family. Sadly predeceased by her parents, Huldur and Wilhelmina Johnson; husband Thorleifur Thordarson (divorced); son Lorne R. Thordarson; brothers, Einar, Edward and sister Helen Howell. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Wednesday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church, 50-3rd Ave. in Gimli, Manitoba with Pastor Jaycen Snider officiating. Interment to follow in Gimli Cemetery. The family would like to thank all those who gave there kindness and friendship to Lily during her last struggles through life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Betel Home Foundation. Gilbart Funeral Home, Gimli in care of arrangements.
