Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEMIL SZYMCZYNA October 15, 1922 - December 18, 2007 Peacefully with family by his side Emil Szymczyna passed away at the Seven Oaks General Hospital at the age of 85 years. Emil will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jean, sisters, Anne and Nelly, sons, Wally and Randy, grandchildren, David, Blair, Darryl and Cory (Kelly), great-grandchildren, Caitlin, Kaiden and Tarryn and many nieces, nephews and friends. Emil was predeceased by his daughter, Sharon. Emil spent 38 years with the City of Winnipeg Transit Department. Emil spent much of his time hunting and fishing, spending time with family and friends, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to any and all. Prayers will be held on Friday December 21, 2007, at 7:30 p.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main Street. Funeral service will be held on Saturday December 22, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at Glen Eden Funeral Home, with Father Isidore Dziadyk - O.S.B.M., with interment to follow. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Emil's name may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
