EDITHA TABAR On June 9, 2008, our dearly beloved Mother and Oma passed away after a lengthy and courageous struggle. Left to mourn and cherish her memory are her daughter Doris, son John (Deanne), grandchildren, Andrea, Jonathan, Ryan and Katie. She joins her husband Hans who left us in December 2002. Mom and Dad came to Canada in 1954 from Germany where they left behind family and friends to start a new life. They worked tirelessly to fulfill the goal of a better life for their children, while often homesick, Canada became their new home. In their retirement years they enjoyed home and yearly summer travels, only after the garden was planted of course! Oma loved to cook for her family. Her roladen, potato salad and wonderful Christmas cookies, which had to be shared, will be sorely missed. She enjoyed her garden, which her grandsons planted for her the last few years - under strict supervision. The potatoes and beans are coming up, there was no time to get the tomatoes and flowers in this year. Mom and Dad had a good life. Even though it wasn't long enough, they are together again. We love them and will miss them always. According to Mom's wishes, cremation and a private family gathering will be held. Flowers are gratefully declined. Donations in Editha's memory may be made to the Seven Oaks Hospital Foundation or to the charity of your choice. Thank you to the wonderful nurses on the 5th floor, Unit 5 at Seven Oaks who looked after Mom at the end. Rest in Peace Mama Glen Eden Funeral Home 338-7111
